Our Second Life
Trouble Dethly is a long time resident of Second Life and spent his early years wandering the grid. Through ECLIPSE Magazine, he found that his passion was shining the spotlight on others and sharing their story. Much of his virtual life is dedicated in helping and marketing others and also in creating community (as many of his various projects are a testament to this); however, his creativity shines best through his photography.

The interactive cookie swap was held as a community project where residents decorated twenty-eight gingerbread homes. Each home had a custom made cookie to collect. All the cookies came with a corresponding real life recipe. While the cookies could be collected at any time, there was an interactive cookie swap where there was someone at each home to interact and role-play giving out cookies.
“A Thousand Words” is a collaborative Second Life photography project dedicated to expression through creative imagery. For our inaugural exhibition, Second Life residents created photographs inspired by renowned poet Pablo Neruda’s “Twenty Love Poems and a Song of Despair.” There was an immersive in-world exhibition, as well as an accompanying photobook.
